Huawei Watch 4 Series breaks into the European market; Get yours from June 13

Jun 13, 2024

Huawei has introduced its brand new Huawei Watch 4 series in Europe. This is a smartwatch that is packed with cutting-edge technology and an eye-catching design. The launch comes about a week after the Chinese unveil.

The aesthetics of the Huawei Watch 4 series come together in an innovative way with this series. The spherical screen of the watch is made of sapphire glass, and it is protected by a case made of aerospace-grade TC4 titanium alloy. Huawei says this material is three times as strong and twice as hard as regular titanium. The cutting-edge design is complemented by an always-on display that is said to maintain its visibility even in broad daylight.

This display also features new themes and widgets for an experience that is both colourful and customisable. For example, the planet watch faces immediately stand out. The user will have a dynamic and engaging experience with these faces because they are designed to adjust based on the rotation of the crown as well as the time.

The larger 48mm Huawei Watch 4 Pro model features a 1.5-inch LTPO AMOLED flexible screen. It has a screen-to-body ratio that is 5.3% higher than its predecessor while also having bezels that are 16.5% narrower. In spite of the watch’s size, Huawei was able to reduce both the weight and thickness of the device, making it more user-friendly and providing a more comfortable fit.

In terms of its fitness features, the Huawei Watch 4 series provides over one hundred different workout modes. Some examples are the diving range mode, the freediver, and the science-based fitness technology known as TrueSport. The watch also features a function that allows users to retrace their steps and an artificial intelligence that acts as a running coach to direct users through their workouts. In addition to that, the fitness capabilities of the watch have been given a new twist with the introduction of brand new activity rings.

With the Watch 4 series, Huawei has also placed a strong emphasis on health monitoring. Some of the features include a respiratory checkup, ECG analysis, and health glance trends. Other aspects of health that can be monitored include a person’s heart rate, blood oxygen saturation (SpO2), stress level, skin temperature, arterial stiffness, and more.

The battery life of the Huawei Watch 4 series is pretty decent. The Pro version lasts up to 4.5 days on a single charge and the standard Watch 4 lasting up to 3 days. Both of these numbers are with typical use. The Watch 4 has a battery life of up to 14 days, while the Pro version has a battery life that can last up to 21 days when switched to the ultra-long battery life mode.

Additionally, the Huawei Watch 4 series is equipped with support for eSIM. This enables independent LTE 4G communication capabilities as well as navigation support. Fall detection has also been added, and it only requires one tap to send an emergency alert.

Huawei Watch 4 Pro with the titanium strap costs 699 Euros, while the brown leather strap option costs 549 Euros. In comparison, the standard version of the Huawei Watch 4 is priced at 449 Euros and comes with a fluoroelastomer strap. Europe availability starts on June 13th. Those who order before June 27 will benefit from a free pair of FreeBuds 5i.
